Academics
Students at MPB are challenged, encouraged, and supported by talented and dedicated teachers throughout their school day. Academic rigor, intellectual curiosity, and high standards are priorities for the faculty and are incorporated appropriately into their lesson plans.
Students are taught using the latest and best instructional practices. Teachers are invested in their own learning and participate in technological and instructional courses. A rigorous curriculum through the Archdiocese of Denver is the basis for instruction. Students will become sound thinkers, writers, readers, mathematicians, scientists, historians, and Catholics. Teachers carefully monitor student progress with STAR testing. Teachers use data from these and other assessments to formulate the best method for teaching their students. Students are given the instruction and tools necessary for them to succeed.
MPB strives to incorporate mindful and prudent use of technology in all areas of the curriculum. Using the interactive whiteboards, teaching the use of the Internet, and emphasizing competency with computers are goals of all teachers.
Our Academic Success:
Math and reading STAR testing scores are an 11.6 average grade equivalent for graduating 8th graders.
